For those of your who remember the story on Sparky and how his cover dog photo prompted a reader to write on the similarities that their dog showed to him, the story continues. Not only was Sparky and Freckles related, but, as a result of the incredible story, Freckle's owners, Claudia and Larry, were able to add Freckles brother to their home. February's cover dog is "Hart"and who better to represent the Valentine month, but, a Dachshund with a heart on him.

As for what's happening at DORG, we're moving right along with the new year and exciting things are happening. The On-line shopping catalog is growing and DORG is so pleased to be able to introduce some very talented artists and their creative and unique Dachshund items. You'll see we now have a wonderful line of woodcraft items all done with the Dachshund theme. The line, by Gary Wray, who is a talented wood crafter, has supplied DORG with mailboxes, leash racks, clocks,  frames and serving trays. All are individually handcrafted and are a definite "must have." DORG also has for the Dachshund aficionado, aluminum and cast iron bells and boot scrapers with Dachshunds on them. And, for those who know artist Dee Dee Murray and her wonderful Dachshund T-shirts, you can now find them in DORG's shopping section.

Seems we could leave this chocolate warning up all year, doesn't it. Just remember, Valentines Day brings a lot of candy into the house.  Chocolate is very toxic to your dog, so, please make sure it isn't in reach of a a determined Dachshund or any other dog!
