It is that time of year again when the holidays are busy and people are busier. Presents are purchased and foods are prepared and often time things are left available to snooping pets that wouldn't normally be left around. It's always timely to remind pet owners of the dangers of holiday ornaments, whether they be manufactured or alive but it's also important to remember there are foods that are not agreeable to pets. Remember, Christmas brings a lot of candy into the house.  Chocolate is very toxic to your dog, so, please monitor the "stash" carefully and make sure it isn't in reach of a a determined Dachshund!

Hurricane Katrina was a horrible natural disaster that affected thousands of people in many states. The animals suffered as did the people and there are still many pets who are missing or lost. Vaccines, controversial and questionable. Read an article that was in the current issue of Dog Fancy Magazine and also in the USA Weekend issue of Parade. A way to protect yourself when breeding dogs is to have contracts.  Here are a few that will help you devise your own.  These contracts are from the showdogsupersite and offer some very good contracts for ideas.
